Something good to eat

In "Something Good to Eat," Jackson details his experience volunteering with an organisation called Transient Workers Count Too (TWC2), gathering information on the landscape of catered food for construction workers in Singapore, largely migrants, who endure harsh conditions and unhygienic meals. They face hazardous work environments and lack support, spending their initial year in debt.

Despite Singapore's food standards, catered meals for migrants lack hygiene and nutrition. Personal cooking offers relief, while preserving their culinary traditions. Hari Raya provides a rare opportunity for celebration amid their daily struggles, highlighting their integral role in Singapore's landscape.
